Over 16 years I've worked on just about every make of gate motor sold in Cumbria. If your gate was fitted by someone else, or the original installer has gone out of business, that's no issue – I repair all the major brands.

Electric Gate Repairs on Every Major Brand
Most electric gates around Carlisle were fitted by someone else, often years ago, and the original installer isn't always around when something goes wrong. That's where we come in. We repair gates on all the major brands – Beninca, CAME, FAAC, BFT, Nice, SEA, Gibidi, Allmatic, V2, Key Automation and Chamberlain LiftMaster – whoever installed them.
Knowing the brand helps us arrive with the right parts and the right know-how. A photo of the motor, the control box or the remote is usually enough for us to identify the system before we set off from Burgh Road.
If you're not sure what's on your gate, don't worry. We see enough different systems to recognise most of them at a glance.
Automatic Gate Repairs Across Cumbria, Whoever Fitted Them
Every brand has its own quirks: the way its control boards are set up, how its remotes are coded and which parts tend to wear first. Adrian has spent 16 years working on these systems, so we know where to look and what usually needs doing.
We'll always find the fault before we fix anything, and you'll get a price before any work starts. Where parts are hard to find for an older model, we'll look for a compatible replacement before suggesting anything bigger.
Once the repair is done, we check the safety devices and run the gate through its full cycle, so it's safe as well as working.
Not sure what you've got?
Look for a brand name on:
- the motor casing or arm
- the front or back of your remote
- a label on the outside of the control box
Or send me photos of the motor and remote, and I'll identify it.
Parts for older systems
For the major brands, I can normally get parts. Where a model is obsolete and parts have dried up, I'll look at compatible alternatives – a new control board that runs your existing motors, for instance – before suggesting replacing everything. See repair or replace?

Questions people ask me
Can you repair a FAAC (or CAME, BFT, Nice…) gate?
Yes – I repair all the major brands.
My installer has gone out of business. Can you take over?
Yes. I'll check the system over, fix what's needed and look after it from then on.
Do you need to know the brand before you come out?
It helps me bring the right parts. A photo of the motor is normally enough.
